Monowolfe, an American living in Japan, releases his first extraordinary work. Wolfe welcomes you into his mind; a neat, tidy, clean and well-kept place, accented by an orderly sense of complexity. As if the listed work isn’t enough, two supercatchy bonus tracks are included that are just bound to have you coming back.

Latest tracks by Mr Bill

Mr. Bill, another australian star from the newly forged Enig’Matik label, more than holds his own amongst his peers- he’s one amongst a dazzling list of electronic heavy-hitters who seem to be defining simultaneously a new genre and standard for attentiveness in music. He’s friendly and outreaching with his fans; his interest doesn’t seem to be in mysteriously taking refuge behind an obscure name (not that’s something to necessarily be avoided!). He offers tutorials and welcomes questions concerning what seems to be his DAW of choice, Ableton.

The Designer was actually a free give away from for buying Enig’Matik’s first, mind-melting release, Painting Pictures of Silence. Relatively short, at twenty minutes, it will likely serve as an appetizer and leave you wanting more. Luckily, Mr. Bill has a list of releases as well as a few freebies on his site which you can and should check out here.

vaetxh – Clipper by robclouth

Rob Clouth is the genius behind the pseudonym Vaetxh as well as a few others that you can find on his soundcloud page.

I’m tempted to put this in some large, obnoxious font: Every glitch, clarke, IDM listener interested in intently, conscious and intelligently made music owes it to themselves to listen to this- no, scratch that: Every man, woman and child owes it to themselves to be subjected to this experience. I think what particularly caught my attention, after I picked my jaw up off the ground and got a stand to hold it in place, is his intuitive compositional organization. Take “Unfolding Mechanism” for instance- the song itself is depicting something by embodying the idea entirely, and as the end of the song is reached, on another listen you can clearly determine that the whole song leads up to one 16 bar phrase.

His trippy yet consistent beats have left me with two broken legs however, though I don’t mind because I just made sure to bring a set of phones to the hospital- I suspect my arms are next as I feel undeniably compelled to move my body to his music.

I’d be a bit worried about being overenthusiastic if this weren’t what every single person I’ve played this for has said as well. In fact, right now I can see the nurses readying a bed next to mine for a similar case- yes, that’s the bloke I showed Vaetxh to just last week. Some might suggest a law suit, but even in this position I think I would give him money to make more of this.

Check it out! Tell everyone you know. Without a question, it’s -that- good.

Wonderful Bite is all about the sweet and the sour, the harsh and the soft mingling and merging for some of the slickest sounds you’ll hear (this week, this year, ever?). WB features a killer electro/breaks/hiphop track with dope rhymes by Navi, a clubby/synth-pop-esque tune vocals with vocals by Sekhret Hush, and a remix of Lux Aeterna from the film Requiem for a Dream composed by Clint Mansell done in a melodic but hardcore DnB style. The remaining instrumentals are killer SGX works ranging from Telefon Tel Aviv style natural chillness to talking analog synth badassery and beats ala The Crystal Method, all done up in SGX’s accessible, melodic, intelligent flavors. The tone is serious business plus a bit tongue in cheek. Get bit, budday!

This seemed a really fantastic find- emotionally genuine, creative, original, with superb sound quality, this LP tells a story. I’d rather not speak for it too much- just give it a listen! By the end of the first track you won’t regret it.
